The planning sheet for three initiatives looked like this:

AI Assist: Creating Scaffolding
I asked AI a single question:
Reformat this into an Asana-ready CSV with Task, Owner, Due Date, Status, grouped by project.
It came back with:
Survey: draft → review → publish → collect results
QBR: book venue → prepare slides → send invites
Intranet: design → build → publish
Owners filled in based on context clues
Deadlines standardised into dates
Consultant Judgment: Adding Context
Where AI gave scaffolding, I added:
Adjusted owners based on who really owned each task
Set dependencies (slides after agenda locked, publish intranet after IT build)
Phased milestones (Survey in Q3, QBR in October, Intranet in November)
To B: The Outcome
The client now had:
A functioning Asana board with three clear projects
Owners attached to every task
Milestones that Project Sponsors and leaders could see at a glance

Takeaway
AI won’t run your projects. However, it will take the grunt work off your plate, allowing you to focus on leading and working on more strategic projects.
